DUBAI – The countdown is on as Ski Dubai, in partnership with Dubai Sports Council, prepares to host the 16th edition of the Ice Warrior Challenge on Sunday, 14 September.

The adrenaline-filled event will once again transform the World’s Best Indoor Ski Resort into an action-packed obstacle course, challenging participants with more than 20 high-intensity features. From rope walls and icy pools to monkey bars, tyre runs and net crawls, competitors will be tested against an exhilarating array of challenges.

Last year’s edition drew more than 600 participants representing 70 countries, making it one of the most diverse fitness events in the region. This year’s challenge is expected to be even bigger, with spots rapidly filling up. The Ice Warrior Challenge is open to both men and women aged between 15 and 60.

Categories and fees

Participants can choose from three categories designed to suit different fitness levels and goals. The Elite category (Dh280) is tailored for athletes aiming to complete the course in less than 25 minutes. The Individual category (Dh250) welcomes participants of all abilities, while the Teams category (Dh200 per person) is open to groups of five.

The team format is especially popular among colleagues and friends seeking a shared experience of endurance and rivalry.

New Spectator Pass

For the first time, Ski Dubai has introduced a dedicated Spectator Pass, giving friends and families the opportunity to cheer on participants from a special viewing area. Priced at Dh50, the pass includes access to prime vantage points overlooking the course, along with a complimentary hot beverage. This new addition aims to enhance the atmosphere by ensuring participants receive maximum support as they power through the icy obstacles.

Medals and registration

All participants who cross the finish line will be awarded a commemorative medal and an Ice Warrior souvenir t-shirt upon returning their timing chip, marking their achievement in conquering one of Dubai’s most unique endurance challenges.

With spots limited, aspiring competitors are urged to secure their registration before it closes on 12 September. Tickets are available exclusively through Premieronline.
